Aisha Devi is the moody electronic pop project of Kate Wax, the house/techno producer affiliated with Border Community and Mental Groove. Aish Devi really comes into her own with this new moniker (which is her real name actually). Devi’s emotive vocals is at the centre of a spacious arrangements of crisp, dub-wise percussion, glassy arpeggios and luxuriant nocturnal ambience. Her music takes now the form of dub-spattered drums and blitzkreig kicks haunted by harpy vocals and sounds like sometimes modern Mongolian music.
